Petra Ecclestone is a British socialite, model, and fashion designer who gained notoriety for being the daughter of Bernie Ecclestone, the former chief executive of Formula One Group. Born on December 17, 1988, in London, Petra grew up in a life of luxury and privilege. She attended several prestigious schools, including the Francis Holland School for Girls and the Trevor-Roberts School, before studying fashion at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Petra made headlines in 2011 when she purchased the largest home in Los Angeles, the Spelling Manor, for $85 million. Since then, she has been involved in various philanthropic endeavors, including the Petra Ecclestone Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of children by supporting various charities and organizations.

Petra is no stranger to living in ridiculously expensive mansions. From a $230 million 18th century estate in London, dubbed The Sloane House, to the famous Spelling Manor. Which she purchased from Candy Spelling in 2011 for $85 million...in cash. After selling Spelling Manor for $119 million in 2019, she purchased a Brentwood home for $22.7 million. She didn't stay there for too long though. In 2022 she sold the home for $37 million to NBA star Russel Westbrook. Recently in 2023 Petra, along with her husband Sam Palmer and her four children, moved into another Brentwood mansion for a whopping $31.5 million. I wonder how long it will be until Petra and her family move into another insane million dollar mansion.
The home was built in 1936. I don’t think that the family has moved in yet, because they have plans for an extensive renovation. The home is nearly impossible to see from the street, as it sits hidden behind a high gate. There are also oak and olive trees surrounding the perimeter. Aside from the interior redesign that Petra has planned, Sam has plans for the exterior redesign as well. From adding more manicured lawns, to a full vegetable garden and numerous dining areas. The home currently features a 200 bottle wine cellar, a movie theater, and a music room. I can’t imagine they would want to do away with any of those incredible amenities.

I can’t imagine what could be done to the landscaping in the backyard to improve it much more than it already is. In the backyard, there is a brick covered patio. Equipped with a white wooden covering to help avoid the hot sun during the sunny California days. Full, sprawling lawns spread as far as the eye can see, and is completed with a perimeter of tall and luscious trees. I can definitely see the reasoning why a vegetable garden, to two, or three would complement this yard.

The large mansion currently features three working fireplaces. As well as a large second floor balcony that spreads across the majority of the back of the house. Perfect to relax with a cup of coffee while the kids play out back.

From the updated aerial shot of the home, you can already get an idea of the plans for the backyard. There will be a complete redo of the grass and landscape, as well as a rather large inground pool. Lots of space for an outdoor living space, as well as what looks to be a pool house.
