Yachts are some of the highest symbols of luxury and success. They’re wonders of innovation and provide near-unbound freedom to owners and guests. Some dimensions and features are almost unbelievable, but superyachts rarely disappoint. There’s a lot that goes into owning one, as you may want to explore appropriate yacht insurance as well as pay staff to operate and maintain it, but it’s an experience like few others.
In this article, we sail through some of the best yachts on the seas today.
Galactica
Floating at 70m long, the Galactica is a Dutch-built ship that has been revolutionary in the industry. Designed and constructed by Heesen in 2022, its aluminium hull and newly conceptualised backbone give it speedboat-like performance with exceptional strength and durability. It’s one of the few yachts of its size that can reach 30 knots.
Galactica boasts room for 12 guests and 16 crew members, with a lavish design encompassing the finest oak, marble and glass features. The helipad on the front means that no place is off limits out at sea or on land.
Kaos
A staggering 110m long, Kaos was built by Oceanco and launched from the Netherlands in 2017. It’s slower than Galactica but significantly more spacious, hosting up to 34 guests and 41 staff.
It’s a mesmerising ship from the outside and just as spellbinding on the inside. A large swimming pool, beach club, gym facilities, elevator and dedicated crew living quarters make it a behemoth of the seas.
Solandge
A famous yacht featured in the hit show Succession is named Solandge. It was built in 2013 and set sail from Germany. The ship contains six sweeping decks, fit with grand accommodation for 12 guests. This includes a breathtaking dedicated master deck featuring 180-degree panoramic windows and a private swimming pool.
Solandge was also built with an innovative stabilisation system that limits rolling and creates a more enjoyable cruising experience. The yacht can entertain parties, families and just about any activities demanded.
Lana
Launched by Benetti in Italy, Lana is another huge yacht coming in at 107m long. It’s reported to have hosted the likes of Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates which says all that you need to know about its calibre. It stands out for its precision and attention to detail, with every last feature designed with opulence in mind.
The decks are spacious and provide everything needed for up to 16 guests and 32 crew. A beauty spa with onboard massage therapists, large cinema and comprehensive entertainment system make it one of the best charter yachts out there.
