Elon Musk is an entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to the fields of technology and renewable energy. He co-founded and served as CEO of Tesla, a company that designs and manufactures electric cars, and SpaceX, a company that develops and launches rockets for space exploration. Musk has also been involved in other ventures, including SolarCity and Neuralink, which focus on solar power and brain-machine interfaces respectively. In October 2022, Musk purchased Twitter for a whopping $44 billion. Despite having loads of money, and a massive real estate portfolio, Musk lives full-time in a 3 bedroom Texas ranch, a block from SpaceX Starbase. More recently, he even had a $50,000 tiny home built, which sits on the Texas property. Maybe living in a tiny home is just one way to keep his billions. Musk has been married three times, twice to the same woman. He also was in a relationship with singer and artist Grimes. With all his romantic relationships, he has a total of ten children. "I will never be happy without having someone. Going to sleep alone kills me." This statement might just mean that Elon is human after all.

Elon moved into this 3 bedroom Texas ranch in 2019. It seems he made small changes to the home, such as a white paint job, and an addition of an 8 foot tall fence that surrounds the whole exterior. And what would an Elon Musk house be without Tesla made solar roof tiles? The house next door is where his whole security team sits. Musk owns multiple mansions all around the world, so while it seems odd that he primarily resides in this understated home in Texas, it actually is pretty practical. The SpaceX headquarters have been located in Boca Chica, TX since 2014, and this home, while it’s modest, it’s also an easy block away. And since Elon always has to do everything big, downsizing wasn’t enough. He had to downsize all the way. He also purchased a 375 sq ft tiny home, created by the Boxabl company. He claims to live full time in this tiny home.

Musk’s 1,580 sq ft home is painted a fresh, crisp white. The 8 foot tall fencing around the whole property makes his neighbors refer to the home as a compound. The roof has Tesla made paneling, ofcourse. The backyard features a large cement patio, with a grill. Not sure how much free time Elon has, but I hope is able to enjoy the yard a bit. Also in the backyard sits his 375 sq ft tiny home. With a flat roof, 9’6’’ foot high ceilings, and not so tiny amenities. Such as a full sized walk-in shower, washer, and dishwasher.

Two wide steps bring you up into this tiny home through sliding doors. With 9'6'' foot high ceilings, a flat roof, and LED recessed lighting. For only 375 sq ft, this home feels anything but small. It's open and modern, with a full size bed, nice sized kitchen and bathroom, and even a comfortable living room.

As most tiny homes are, this is an open concept living space. Although the kitchen looks larger than my own. Stainless steel double door refrigerator, with a bottom freezer, and a stainless steel dishwasher to match. Recessed overhead lighting to go along with the large window over the kitchen sink. There is even ample storage space above and below the counters.

When I think of a tiny home, I picture having to shower over the toilet. This is not the case here. The bathroom is a great size that allows for a full walk-in shower. With glass doors and a rainfall showerhead. The walls are painted crisp white, which allows the space to look even bigger. There is even a porcelain sink to match the porcelain toilet.

Musk’s newest home may be tiny, but it’s mighty impressive. He really knows how to make the most of the space. It features all the amenities of a massive home.
