Judge Judy, whose real name is Judith Sheindlin, is an American judge and television personality. She is best known for her television show, "Judge Judy," which aired for 25 seasons and became one of the highest-rated court shows in the United States. In 2021, “Judge Judy” was back with all new seasons. Judge Judy's no-nonsense approach and sharp wit made her a beloved figure on television. “Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.” It's one liners like these that helped Judge Judy stand out from all the rest of the television courtroom judges. Prior to her television career, Judge Judy served as a judge in the New York City court system for more than a decade. Her dedication to justice and her unwavering commitment to fairness have made her an icon in both the legal and entertainment worlds. " Being a TV star is a great gift. Everyone treats you royally." This must be true, if her numerous houses are anything to show for it. Aside from her properties in Connecticut and Florida, she also owns a large estate in Newport, RI. This enormous home hits on nearly four acres of land. It was originally built in 2012 by Campbell Soup heiress, Dorrance Hill Hamilton. Aside from being an heiress, Dorrance was also a philanthropist who founded the SVF Foundation in Newport, Rhode Island. In 2017, she passed away at the impressive age of 89. After her death, the estate was purchased by Judge Judy. I love the idea that two kickass women are occupying this beautiful and opulent home. As Judy said herself, "So we want to free the women of America? You know would free the women of America? Make men accept responsibility for birth control." Pretty kick ass in my opinion.
This home, nicknamed The Bird House, sits on the highest point in Newport. It was built with state of the art technology, as well as design. It features geothermal heating and cooling systems, as well as specially crafted amenities, including Tischler custom windows and heated flooring throughout the home. I remember when heated bathroom floors were a thing of luxury. Now it’s heated floors in every inch of your home. But of course toasty floors aren’t the only luxurious amenities. This home also comes equipped with a 3-stop elevator, extra wide shower, doors, and hallways. There is also enough parking for 13 cars, and an attached garage. Most of the windows in this home have breathtaking panoramic views of the cliffs and ocean views.

Judge Judy’s home has a large semi-circle driveway. Featuring two entrances from the street, so no need to back up. There is also a center island of luscious green foliage, and a quaint pond in the front of the home. This exterior is very New England coastal, with light gray shingle siding, and a small round window above the front entrance. It’s almost as if you can smell the salt air just by looking at it.

The library in this home is as cozy as it is beautiful. The deep cherry red walls combined with the working stone and brick fireplace is a great way to stay cozy during the harsh New England winters. The room also comes equipped with floor to ceiling built-in bookshelves topped with recessed lighting, as well as a charming bay window.

As you walk through the front door, you are immediately in the foyer. In the center of the entrance there is a medieval looking chandelier, complete with numerous single stem white candles. Gorgeous hardwood floors with a gray and white patterned rug make up the flooring. As well as the staircase leading up to the second floor, where there is white railing balcony. The balcony covers most of the second story, overlooking the main floor of the home.

The main bedroom is full of charm. With built-in storage cubbies, cream white carpeting over hardwood floors, and large windows that let the ocean sun flow. There is even a full glass door leading out to an enclosed balcony. The balcony has a swimming porch swing, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee.
