Katy Perry is an American pop star and a judge on American Idol. She made her pop music debut with her 2008 hit "I Kissed a Girl". She followed it up with a slew of hits including "Hot n Cold", "California Gurls", and "Firework". She has sold more than 143 million records worldwide. In 2010 she married comedian Russel Brand in a traditional Hindu ceremony, before divorcing after just 14 months. Since 2016 she has been with actor Orlando Bloom whom she shares a daughter with. Katy Perry's brand new penthouse is located in the Sierra Towers skyscraper in West Hollywood. The building was built in 1965 with architect Jack A. Charney. The building is such an old Hollywood staple, it even has its own Wikipedia page. With 146 units and 32 stories, the views of the Los Angeles Hills are breathtaking. Perry purchased her penthouse from Garmin founder Min Kao's daughter Jen Kao for $11 million. The unit is actually two condos combined to make one penthouse. It is a two bedroom, three bath with 3,001 sq ft of luxurious space. Featuring blackout shades, steel windows, and black walnut hardwood floors and doors. There is also a home theatre and gorgeous marble ensuite. The breathtaking views are incredible, but I personally love the 1960s modern decor.

The building is 32 stories high, which makes for amazing views. What's even more amazing is that some of the surrounding palm trees reach even taller. To me, this beautiful building looks so similar to a jenga set. Luckily it's much more stable.

I love everything about this kitchen. The openness, the light shades of wood, and such unique light fixtures. The lighting is super sleek and thin, and gives off a warm horizontal glow. Very similar to the lighting above the dining room table.

The great thing about this penthouse is that you are able to see every room with how open it is. Off the kitchen is the wet bar, which makes it look like a set from Mad Men. Recessed lighting and caved in ceilings look so pristine. The whole wall off the dining room is made up of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that you right onto the balcony terrace.

Katy's ensuite is exquisite. The focal point is the marble, oval soaking tub at the top of marble stairs. It sits elegantly next to the high glass window, and tucked underneath a hanging gold light fixture encased in a clear ball.
