Shakira is an iconic Colombian singer and songwriter. When she was just 13 years old, she released her debut album with Sony Music Colombia. After releasing several albums, she broke into the American market with her fifth album, Laundry Service. The album released her famous hit songs such as "Whenever, Wherever" and "Underneath Your Clothes". In 2006 she collaborated with Wyclef Jean on her song "Hips Don't Lie". Aside from music, Shakira also served as a coach on the reality singing competition show, The Voice, for two seasons. In 2020, her and fellow music icon Jennifer Lopez performed together during the Super Bowl LIV halftime show. "I consider myself a laborer, building my career brick over brick under the sun."

Shakira's Miami mansion was built in 1951. It sits on 20,726 sq ft of land, and is 8,708 sq ft. Featuring six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, Shakira purchased this waterfront property in 2001. Having listed several times over the years, it's a blessing it never sold because Shakira and her kids are set to move in once again and settle down here. This is a two story home on the celebrity loved North Bay Road in Miami Beach. It's protected behind a gorgeous wall covered in greenery, as well as a gate. Sitting right on the water, with a private dock, the views from this open floor plan home are incredible. The interior features imported light hardwood floors, floor to ceiling glass windows, and spa-like bathrooms. The bathrooms are by far my favorite part of this mansion.

Gorgeous Privacy: The Exterior

From the street, this home looks inconspicuous. It's bright white, and nestled behind tall hedges on both sides, as well as on the whole exterior wall. Aside from the hedges, there are also three full bushes that sit on top of the wall. The driveway features a large electric gate that blocks access to anyone that isn't invited. Once you make it past the gate you are welcomed in a beautiful courtyard at the front entrance of the home.

The focal point in the backyard is the large heated pool. It sits surrounded by a light wooden patio, as well as numerous loungers and split level stairs. As you can see, the home includes so many floor to ceiling windows that you are able to see the outside from almost every inch of the home. By the pool there is a covered outdoor kitchen, with a grill and ceiling fans. Perfect for enjoying the summer fun while keeping cool during the Florida heat.

All of the bathrooms in this mansion look as if they were plucked right out of an upscale spa. Neutral tones, floating vanities, and lighting above and below. The most luxurious soaking tub is right at the center.

Shakira's kitchen is amazing. Spacious, airy, and serene. There are four ovens, lots of recessed lighting and custom light wood floors. The breakfast table sits right next to the wall of glass, with double glass doors that lead right into the back courtyard.

I am in love with Shakira’s Miami mansion. I’m so happy that despite her previous desires, this home never sold. She is able to move on from her divorce and move back into this incredible home, and continue to enjoy and make many more memories here.
