Check Out Manny Machado's Coronado House

July 29, 2023

Manny Machado, born Manuel Arturo Machado, is a professional baseball player for the San Diego Padres. He was the third overall pick for the Baltimore Orioles during the 2010 MLB draft, making his MLB debut in 2012. Manny played for the Orioles from 2012 to 2018. On February 21, 2019, he signed an incredible 10-year $300 million contract with the Padres. Then on February 28, 2023, Manny signed a new 11-year contract extension worth $350 million. The new deal has a no trade provision, and ensures him on the team through 2033. In 2014, he married Yainee Alonso, the sister of former baseball player Yonder Alonso. The couple resides in Miami during the off season, and just recently purchased a huge estate in Coronado, CA during the on season. Take a look at Manny Machado’s incredible Coronado house below.

Manny Machado's house is more of a compound, located on a private street. It features three buildings held together by a courtyard. With a total of six bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms spread over 7,228 sq ft of space. As well as a seven car garage. Once you enter through the carriage house doors, you are in the large open courtyard featuring gardens and a fountain. One of the properties feature two vaulted ceiling living rooms, a fireplace, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. As well as hardwood floors and a balcony. The second property is located in the middle of the courtyard. It has a sauna, wet bar, hot tub, and would be perfect as an office or exercise space. The main house is at the far end of the courtyard, by the zero edge swimming pool. This home features nine rooms in total, a fireplace, and even an elevator. I can't imagine how luxurious it would be to live in a gorgeous waterfront compound like this. The estate even has its own name, Zee Huis, which is Dutch for Sea House. Sounds very fitting.

Peaceful Pathway: The Exterior

Walking through the courtyard feels like you’re walking through a quaint street in Italy. Large square stones create a nice pathway, and on each side you have cream colored villas with balconies overhead. Tall, various plants such as Birds of Paradise, and tall oaks also line your path. And there are even lanterns with a warm light, perfect for nighttime.

The courtyard that brings all the properties together is almost as big as my two bedroom  apartment. It's amazing with how close together the homes are on this street, the extra foliage and high walls make it feel as if you are on your own private island.
