Mary Tyler Moore was an actress, social advocate, and producer. She rose to fame in 1961 on The Dick Van Dyke Show, which she appeared on until 1966. Her own show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, ran from 1970 to 1977. It was groundbreaking during its time, showing the new, modern woman of those times. Later in her career, she made appearances on the 1990s sitcom, Ellen, as well as That ‘70s Show and Hot in Cleveland. Aside from her incredible acting career, Moore was also a longtime animal rights activist. As well as advocating for more diabetes research and awareness, as she herself was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1969. Sadly in 2017 at the age of 80, Moore passed away from complications of pneumonia. During a private ceremony, she was interred in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield, Connecticut, nearby where she lived for most of her life. Mary Tyler Moore lived in this Greenwich, CT home until her death in 2017. Featuring six bedrooms, six bathrooms, 7,588 sq ft and over six acres of land. The home was built way back in 1900, and has such perfectly manicured, rolling lawns. It was last renovated in 1998, however there is still so much original charm to the home. Being from Connecticut, and a huge Mary Tyler Moore fan, I always loved that she lived in Greenwich, and loved her gorgeous countryside estate.

The front of the home gives off an old English country estate vibe. I love it. An overgrown tree sits right in the center of the motor court, as well as around the whole perimeter of the home.
