Jeffrey Dahmer was an American serial killer. Also known as Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, he was born on May 21, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dahmer was raised by his father Lionel, a research chemist, and his mother Joyce, a teletype machine instructor. When he was growing up, his mother Joyce was a hypochondriac who suffered depression and rarely left the house. When Dahmer was 14 years old, he started drinking alcohol, a lot. It was also around this time that he realized he was gay, and started a young relationship with another boy at school, in private. In 1978 a few weeks after graduation, he committed his first of many murders, a hitchhiker by the name of Steven Mark Hicks. By 1981, his alcohol use was so out of hand, he was sent to live with his grandma, in her home in West Allis, Wisconsin. The home is still standing today, and is in fact occupied by a family who isn’t concerned about the home's eerie past.

Jeffrey Dahmer's grandma's house was built in 1939. The permit to start construction was paid by Jeffrey's grandfather, Herbert, and cost about $5,750. The contractor used during this time was a man by the name of Tony Ullrich. The Colonial Revival style home features three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, sitting on 4,835 sq ft of land. It has two stories, with interior walling made up of stone veneer. The home offers street parking, and today is worth $370,000, although it is not currently for sale.
The front of the home features a quaint stone walkway that leads right up to the front door. The front door sits under a lovely arch, and the front exterior is made up of vinyl and stone. The chimney can be seen on the right side of the home, as can the wooden fence leading to the backyard.
