Kerviel grew up in Pont-l’Abbe, Brittany France, a quaint hamlet with ancient bridges and a medieval castle where the local dialect uses hard “k” sounds. His mother, Marie-Josee, was a retired hairdresser and his father Charles worked as a blacksmith. He has an older brother named Olivier who also works in finance.
