Filming took place in Quebec, at a real-life Ice Hotel. The actual hotel is called the Hotel de Glace and it's the only ice hotel in North America. It's a fascinating place to visit, and the hotel is even open for tours during the warmer months!
It's the second time this year that a Hallmark film has been shot at the Ice Hotel. The first was the 2019 movie, Winter Castle Royal Romance. The two movies are connected but have different plots.
In Baby, It's Cold Inside, top-level travel agent Hanna (Jocelyn Hudon from Guillermo Del Torro's FX series The Strain) is asked to forgo her family's holiday cruise to go investigate a new ice hotel in the hopes that it can become a winter tourist destination. She convinces her friend Phoebe (Kathryn Kohut from Love at Look Lodge) to join her for the adventure.
