Connor McDavid is a professional ice hockey player who plays center for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Canadian-born star has earned a reputation as one of the fastest players with amazing stick handling skills. He is also a prolific goal-scorer, having tallied 100 points in each of his first five NHL seasons.
Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, McDavid grew up playing youth hockey with the York-Simcoe Express of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association and later with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. He was drafted first overall by the Oilers in the 2015 NHL Draft and has been with them ever since. In addition to his hockey salary, McDavid makes money from endorsements, appearances, and licensing deals.
