Ja Morant, born Temetrius Jamel Morant, is a professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. Ja was born in Dalzell, South Carolina to Tee and Jamie Morant. Tee and Jamie were college sweethearts, and both played basketball in high school as well as college. Instead of Tee playing professional basketball himself, he decided to become a barber when Ja was born, so that he could stay home with Jamie and raise him together. It’s heartwarming to know that while both Ja’s parents loved playing basketball, he himself went pro and is giving back to them, like when he purchased them an incredibly nice home next to his in Tennessee. "Growing up, my parents always told me, 'while you're out there you always have to have fun with it. You can't play the game frustrated.' That's how I attack each game. Enjoy it. Have fun. Ja Morant's new home is located right next door to his parent's home in Eads, TN. He purchased the home for $2.6 million in 2022, after purchasing his parent's home in 2019 for $1.3 million. Featuring five bedrooms and nine bathrooms spread out over more than 13,000 sq ft of space. The exterior has a grand look, with a stone exterior, dramatic arched roofing, and multiple chimneys visible atop the home. The interior is just as grand, with tile, marble, and hardwood floors, recessed lighting, crystal chandeliers, and built in bookshelves. There is even an elevator and home screening theatre. On the back of the home, there is a large, oval balcony with an outdoor fireplace and floor to ceilings windows that overlook the gorgeous backyard. Keeping the same aesthetic, the same stone exterior from the front of the home can be seen making up with the patio surrounding the swimming pool.
