American actor scott foley has been an active member of the film and television industry for over two decades, and has worked on some of the most successful projects of all time. Scott Foley was born on July 15, 1972, in Kansas City, Kansas to Constance and Hugh Foley. He has two younger brothers, and he spent much of his childhood in Japan and Australia due to his father's career as an international banker. When he was 15, his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended Ladue High School and Clayton High School.

Foley began his acting career on the small screen with a role in the 1995 series Sweet Valley High, followed by appearances in the 1997 films Crowned and Dangerous and Step by Step.
