The Great British Bake Off is back on our screens this autumn, and with it comes the iconic white tent. Fans are wondering where the show is filmed and whether or not they can visit it. The answer? Yes, of course you can. The show is filmed at Welford Park in Berkshire. The estate has been used as a filming location for a number of movies and TV shows, including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, To Russia With Love, and Midsomer Murders.

It's been the main setting for GBBO since 2014 (series five), though production did have to move to Down Hall in Hatfield Heath for the past two series due to Covid restrictions. Welford Park is also home to a number of other productions, including fashion shoots and music videos.

For those unfamiliar with GBBO, the show sees amateur bakers split into pairs and challenged to create a series of sweet dishes that follow a theme. The baked goods are then critiqued by a panel of judges. The series first premiered on Channel 4 in 2008 and has since been shown across the world.

In addition to the UK, GBBO has been filmed in other locations, most notably in New Orleans and Los Angeles. Peacock's spin-off, Baking It, is also filmed in LA. According to TheCinemaholic, the series is filmed at Universal Studios, which has more than 30 soundstages, rehearsal spaces, a large backlot, and dressing rooms. The studio has welcomed filming for a number of hit TV shows and movies, including Good Girls, Westworld, and Transformers.
