The new Netflix series Fate: The Winx Saga is a dark and magical take on the Nickelodeon show that sent young girls into a flutter with its theme song. The live-action spin-off, aimed at older audiences, is set in the Otherworld and follows the lives of fairies who attend the fictional Alfea college where they learn to use their magical powers. Fans have been marvelling at the gorgeous landscapes and set designs in the show, but where exactly is fate filmed?

The vast majority of the filming for the Netflix series took place in County Wicklow in Ireland. The main location was Killruddery House, a huge mansion in the coastal town of Bray that served as the school's setting in the show. The house dates back to the 17th century and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The show also used Ardmore Studios in Bray for some indoor scenes, and Ashford Studios, the home of Vikings, was another location for indoor shots.

The stars of the show include Abigail Cowen as Bloom, a fire fairy who was raised by humans and now must adapt to life in the Otherworld, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, the light fairy, and Precious Mustapha as Aisha, the water fairy. Eliot Salt plays the earth fairy Terra Harvey and Elisha Applebaum is Musa, the mind fairy. The cast is joined by a group of talented voice actors who play the fairies' mentors and teachers at the college, including Danny Griffin (Mortal Kombat), Lewis Tan (Riverdale), and Sadie Soverall.
