Despite the cancellation of Schitt’s Creek, fans can still visit some of its iconic filming locations. Many of these, including the Rosebud Motel, are dotted across Southern Ontario and offer a glimpse at what it’s like to live in a small town full of eccentric characters.

Created by SCTV and American Pie comedy legend Eugene Levy, Schitt’s Creek is the story of a wealthy family that loses everything and moves to a tiny blue-collar town where shenanigans ensue. The show’s six seasons lit up the airwaves and captured the hearts of its devoted audience.

While the show is based in Toronto, where most of its interior scenes were filmed, much of its exteriors were shot in the tiny village of Goodwood, Ontario. This picturesque setting wowed the producers during the location scouting process and it’s no wonder why this tiny hamlet became the home of the Rose family and their entourage of quirky locals.

It also houses some of the series’ most memorable hangouts, such as Cafe Tropical, Bob’s Garage, and Rose Apothecary. While you might not be able to visit all of these places in person (Cafe Tropical is actually a private residence and Rose Apothecary is Romni Wools, which is only open during the week), you can at least see them and take some selfies.

Of course, the most recognizable exterior of all is the Rosebud Motel itself, which you can find right on Hockley Road. The motel is about an hour’s drive from Toronto and consists of a standalone cottage alongside 10 apartment-style rooms.
