Home Town is one of HGTV’s most popular shows, and for good reason. The husband and wife duo of Erin and Ben Napier are just as charming off camera as they are on, making the show a joy to watch. The show stars the couple as they renovate houses in their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi.
The couple is passionate about preserving and revitalizing their small town, and they’ve done so with amazing success. They’ve put Laurel on the map and helped other families discover the beauty of life in small town America. In a way, they’ve created their own little version of Magnolia Market and Pioneer Woman Mercantile.
In addition to the show, the Napiers own two local stores, Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman General Store, which specialize in American-made goods and apparel. They also run a framing business in town. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their two Great Pyrenees dogs, Baker and Chevy.
Erin and Ben’s love for their hometown is evident in every episode of Home Town. In fact, their love for Laurel is what inspired them to create the show in the first place. The couple has made it their mission to help people see the beauty of a small town like theirs, and it’s clear that their viewers feel the same way.
In addition to releasing new episodes of Home Town, the Napiers are preparing for the release of their holiday special, Home Town: Christmas in Laurel. While they haven’t revealed exactly when the special was filmed, it’s likely that they filmed it around the same time as they filmed Season 6 and their Discovery Plus movie, A Christmas Open House.
