Real Madrid fans know that Alfredo Di Stefano was instrumental in shaping Real Madrid into what it is today. Through enchanting partnerships with Ferenc Puskas and Paco Gento, Di Stefano helped propel Real Madrid to world football dominance.

Luis Figo made headlines by signing for Liverpool from Barcelona for a record transfer fee, but proved an immense success at Old Trafford. Not only did he score goals and provide technical class, he was also instrumental in leading them into success on the pitch.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been an unstoppable force at Real Madrid since joining them in 2009. He won four Champions League titles and an astounding 26 La Liga crowns during that time, garnering individual accolades galore. No surprise then that many consider him one of the greatest players ever.

Raul was one of Real's three superstars to wear number seven and was instrumental in revitalising Madrid during one of their more dismal periods in their history. 2. Luis Figo

Figo was one of Real Madrid's most entrancing players throughout its history, mesmerising fans with his style of play and remarkable dribbling skills. After joining from Sporting Lisbon in 1995, he won 10 trophies while at Bernabeu.

He formed mesmerizing partnerships with Alfredo Di Stefano and Francisco Gento. His breathtaking pace and uncanny ability to find the back of the net quickly established him as a household name in Spain and Europe.

He is one of the club's most well-known figures and an integral component of their dominance over time. Distinguished for his unique ability to read the game and make smart decisions on the ball, he won multiple La Liga titles and one Champions League during his time with Los Blancos - his presence being one of many factors contributing to their continued dominance.

3. Ferenc Puskas

Ferenc Puskas of Hungary is widely considered one of the greatest players ever. At Real Madrid he established an iconic goal scoring partnership with Alfredo Di Stefano; they won three European Cups together.

At first, Madrid fans did not take him seriously and thought that he was out of place in such a star-studded team; but over time he proved them wrong by becoming an integral member of their squad, helping to win numerous titles with them.

Modric has been instrumental in Real Madrid's successes since his move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012. His combination of creativity and hard work ethic have seen him make over 500 appearances for Madrid since 2012 and become an icon for their recent triumphs.

4. Raul

Raul was an icon for Real Madrid who brought 15 trophy-laden years of success to Los Blancos and Santiago Bernabeu. Before Cristiano Ronaldo came along, Raul dominated Los Blancos and Santiago Bernabeu with his legendary presence and played 15 trophy-laden years with them.

Raul wasn't known for being strong, yet his speed and dexterity enabled him to score 741 goals for the club despite never being considered physically strong. Additionally, he became the leading goal scorer in UEFA competitions until David Villa eventually overtook him as leader.

Midfielder was an exceptional technician who could play anywhere across the middle of the park. Always looking to drive forward with the ball, and possessing great vision to open up opportunities for his teammates he was an integral component of a side that won the Champions League five times in eight years.

5. Paco Gento

Paco was an iconic figure during Real Madrid's glory days and its swashbuckling style. Opponents feared his lightning pace on the pitch.

He was one of Madrid's key figures during their first five European Cup (now UEFA Champions League) triumphs from 1956 to 1960 and captained them when they claimed it for a sixth time in 1966. Furthermore, he earned 12 Spanish championship winners' medals as well as 43 caps for Spain.

Real Madrid legends such as him deserve special mention, making their impactful contributions unforgettable and remarkable. He earned his spot on this list. A Bernabeu icon, he still serves Los Blancos today by acting in an ambassadorial capacity - their achievements remain timeless and unforgettable.
