Fairuza Balk is an American actress who has made a name for herself by portraying gothic characters. She has appeared in a number of movies and TV shows, including The Craft, Personal Velocity: Three Portraits, Deuces Wild, and Don’t Come Knocking. She has also been involved in music, releasing her own albums under the name Armed Love Militia.
In addition to her acting career, Balk has been involved in animal rights activism and other social causes. She has no children and is currently single. She has been in several relationships, but has never married. She has kept her personal life mostly private, but has been linked to a few high-profile men, including actor Crispin Glover.
Born on May 21st, 1974 in Cloverdale California, she was the daughter of Solomon Feldthouse, a traveling musician who co-founded the psychedelic band Kaleidoscope, and Cathryn Falk, a trained dancer. Balk was introduced to art at an early age, and her mother encouraged her to participate in various theatre groups. She acted in her first role at the age of two, and made her film debut as Dorothy Gale in the 1985 Disney movie Return to Oz.
Since then, she has gone on to appear in a number of films and television shows. Most recently, she appeared as Ginger in Showtime’s Ray Donovan in 2015 and as Lizzie Thomas in the series Paradise City (2021). She has also released an album of music under the name Armed Love Militia and is interested in photography.
