Fred Couples is a professional golfer. During his career, Couples has won 64 professional tournaments, including the Masters Tournament in 1992. In 2011 he won the Senior Players Championship. Fred Couples was born in Seattle on October 3, 1959. He is of Italian ancestry, with the last name being changed from Coppola to Couples when his grandparents immigrated to the United States. In 1977 he attended University of Houston on a gold scholarship. There he shared a dorm with future professional golfer Blaine McCallister. Fred Couples purchased this magnificent La Quinta home for $3 million in 2009. Almost a decade later he sold the home for $2.8 million. The beautiful home was built in 2008, and features four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms spread out over 5,173 sq ft of space. The architecture design is a mix of Spanish and Mediterranean styles. The interior boasts limestone and wood flooring, custom stone carved accents, and a stone fireplace in the living room. The large kitchen features granite countertops and Wolf appliances, as well as a walk-in wine room and pantry. There are even pocket doors located in the dining room that open to the impressive backyard. There you have a large swimming pool, outdoor fireplace, and a nice patio perfect for entertaining.
