Winfield House is located in London at Regent's Park. It is also the official residence for the United States Ambassador to the UK. Having 12 acres of land makes it the largest private residence after Buckingham Palace. The home was built in 1936 for the American heiress Barbara Woolworth Hutton. Barbara was nicknamed "poor little rich girl" due to her having a lavish debutante ball during the Great Depression. Winfield House was used during World War Two by the Royal Air Force, and later donated by Hutton to the United States when the war ended. Since 1955 the house has been the American Ambassador's residence.

Winfield House London is built in Neo-Georgian style, designed by Leonard Rome Guthrie. Over the years the interior has been redecorated and renovated numerous times. Notably, in 1969 former silent film star turned decorator William Haines styled the interiors. Among the 12 acres of grounds, there is a sculpture garden, a formal garden, a small front wood and a vegetable garden. As well as a grass tennis court with a greenhouse behind the court. Trees surround the property for privacy, however there are pathways and small roads that lead the grounds to the front garden and back entrance. This estate is not only historic, it has survived a war. If those walls could talk.
