Michael Landon was a popular American actor who was known for his performances in a number of classic television series. He was also a writer, producer, and director who had a net worth of $40 million in 1991. The vast majority of his wealth was earned from his acting career. He starred as Joseph “Little Joe” Cartwright in the TV series Bonanza from 1959 to 1973 and Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie from 1974 to 1983. He also appeared in a number of films including I Was a Teenage Werewolf, The Legend of Tom Dooley, and High School Confidential.

When he was younger, Michael Landon suffered from the condition known as nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting). The medical term for this is Nocturnal Enuresis Syndrome. As a result of this disorder, he often had wet bed sheets and pajamas. He was a good athlete and won a scholarship to the University of Southern California due to his ability in javelin throwing.

Landon was married to Cindy Landon for the majority of his life and they had nine children together. He left his estate and assets to his children, some of whom are actors themselves.

During his lifetime, Landon owned several properties in California, including a mansion above Malibu’s Broad Beach. It was listed for sale in 2018 but did not find a buyer. Cindy Landon later sold the property to television tycoon Seth MacFarlane. Landon died at his home in Malibu, California on July 1, 1991. He was 54 years old at the time of his death.
