Nakheel, the state-owned Dubai real estate developer behind the world-famous Palm Jumeirah, is about to embark on its biggest venture in over a decade. As reported earlier this year this mega developer is getting ready to gear up for the highly-anticipated relaunch of Palm Jebel Ali. A truly monumental undertaking the relaunch of Palm Jebel Ali promises to be the biggest project release in Dubai this decade.

For those not familiar with the history of Palm Jebel Ali, it’s a project first launched back in 2002 only to be put on hold back in 2008 as a result of the Global Financial Crisis. The re-launch of this project is a testament to Dubai's resilience and unwavering commitment to growth and moving forward. This time around the revival is complete with a meticulously revised masterplan making this an even more grand and advanced project than first envisioned.

Nothing short of an architectural marvel The Palm Jebel Ali project is made up of seven interconnected islands that collectively form the shape of a palm tree. Together the seven islands are spread across an astounding 13.4 square kilometres. This makes Palm Jebel Ali twice the size of its predecessor, the illustrious and world-famous Palm Jumeirah. In addition, the development significantly reconfigures Dubai's coastline and adds to it an impressive 110 kilometers of spotless shoreline. Much of this shoreline will be converted into white sandy beaches and made available for the exclusive use of residents and tourists staying on the island.

Property types available on the new Palm Jebel Ali will include everything from luxury apartments, townhouses, villas, and ultra-luxury mansions. The master developer of the entire community will of course be Nakheel. As is the case with Palm Jumeirah however it is expected that many of Dubai’s most prominent developers will also have various developments throughout the seven islands.  Once completed the entire community is set to house over 35,000 families lucky enough to call it home.

Along with array of luxury residences the Palm Jebel Ali community will also feature extensive shopping and entertainment destinations. A significant feature of the project is the inclusion of 80+ luxurious hotels and resorts. Included will be some of the world’s most lavish brands aimed at catering to the most astute and well of visitors and tourists.

As the release of the first residential project edges closer Dubai Real estate agents are buzzing with anticipation. While nothing has been announced officially, they disclose the villa prices which are expected to start at around Dh18 million. These luxurious properties are set to boast expansive built-up areas ranging from 7,000 to 20,000 square feet and feature cutting edge designs. Taking into account the strength of the Dubai market the demand for these beachside properties is expected to be nothing short of intense. Beachside properties have always been in high order in the region and no different is expected here.

In keeping with Dubai's broader commitment to sustainability, the Palm Jebel Ali intends to set a new standard. It has been announced that at least 30 percent of all public facilities on the island will harness renewable energy sources making this the greenest new community in Dubai. In addition, EV charging stations and similar green initiatives are expected to feature all throughout the island.

As the Palm Jebel Ali's relaunch gets closer to becoming a reality, Dubai's property market and its many real estate agents stand more than ready. As to be expected 100’s if not 1000’s of investors and buyers both in Dubai and worldwide are eagerly awaiting the project's first release.
