Euphoria is a popular series that has kept audiences enthralled, but there’s more to the show than just the captivating acting. It also has some very authentic and gritty locations that really bring the story to life. The main characters in Euphoria go through a lot of issues that are very prevalent among teens, such as drug abuse, sexual abuse, assault, mental health, hookup culture, etc. As such, the show’s settings could really be anywhere in America.
While many of the scenes in the show take place in a fictional town named East Highland, most of the filming was done in Los Angeles, California. The high school that the main characters attend is actually Ulysses S Grant High School in the Valley Glen neighbourhood of LA, which has been a backdrop for numerous teen films and TV shows including Reno 911, True Blood, and Saved by the Bell. The mall where the scenes where Nate stalks Tyler were filmed was at Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, while the 7/11-style store that Fezco and Ashtray own was shot at the Alta Dena Dairy located on 9201 E Las Tunas Drive in Temple City. The motel where Jules stays with her father was filmed at the Travel Inn on 8525 Sepulveda Boulevard in North Hills.
Some cast members, such as Jacob Elordi (who plays Rue) and Sydney Sweeney (who plays Cassie), have shared photos on their Instagram Stories of the filming locations. PopBuzz has also reported that the mall scene where they filmed was at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, which is a three-storey regional shopping mall.
