Where Is Friday Filmed?

September 22, 2023

If you're a fan of the 1995 film Friday, then you may be wondering, "where was friday filmed?" The movie was largely filmed in South Central Los Angeles, and it showcases the challenges of life in an urban community. Featuring comedic sequences and an unforgettable cast, the movie has become a cult classic. It even spawned the popular internet meme, "Bye, Felicia."

The movie follows Craig Jones (Ice Cube) and his friend Smokey (Chris Tucker). Both friends live in South Central LA, and they struggle to make ends meet. The film depicts one day in the lives of the two friends, and it shows how they interact with each other and the community. Moreover, the film features various other characters, including the neighborhood bully, Deebo (Tommy Lister Jr).

Filming for the movie took place in a variety of locations, including the Nickerson Gardens housing projects and the Rancho Cienega recreation center. These settings provide an authentic look at life in a low-income urban area. Moreover, the film also showcases the humor and camaraderie among residents of the neighborhood.

In addition, the movie was filmed at the small house at 1418 W 126th St, which served as Craig's house in the film. Interestingly, this house still has people living in it today.

The movie also filmed at Brenda's cabin, which is located near Price Lake in the town of Hope. This cabin looks exactly like the one in the movie, and it is where Jack (Kevin Bacon) met his end. In fact, the murder scene in the cabin is considered one of the most gory scenes in the entire Friday series.
