The hit NBC series This Is Us follows the Pearson family through different periods of their lives. The show stars Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore as parents Jack and Rebecca, and Chrissy Metz and Sterling K Brown as their children Kate and Randall. The show is filmed in present, future and past tense to capture the family’s evolution. The show’s producers have had to travel around a lot in order to film the various eras and locations of the show, but they also have used some real locations as well.
According to Curbed Los Angeles, the Craftsman style house where the current-day Pearson family resides is actually located in Los Angeles’ enclave of Eagle Rock. The exterior of the family home is actually the La Jolla Country Club on 6000 Coast Boulevard, while the interiors are a combination of different locations. The community pool that Rebecca and Jack visit in season 1 is the Long Beach Petroleum Club, while the fat camp scenes were filmed at a private property on 14400 Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades.
The other residences on the show include the home of Rebecca’s second husband Miguel (John Huertas) in Los Angeles and Kate’s apartment in New York City. For fans who want to see some of these places in person, the NYC TV & Movie Sites Tour offers a chance to check out locations from This Is Us and other shows and movies. The tour features the interiors of a variety of famous homes and buildings such as the Flatiron Building.
