Brad Pitt is an American actor, born in Shawnee, OK in 1963. He first appeared on screen as a sexy hitchhiker in the 1991 film Thelma & Louise. From then his career kept going, with movies such as Seven, Legends of the Fall, Fight Club, and Interview with the Vampire. During the mid '90s, Pit was engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow, before going on to marry Jennifer Aniston in 2000. During the marriage, Brad starred alongside Angelina Jolie in the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Shortly after the movie wrapped Brad and Jen divorced, and he went on to marry Angelina. After sharing six children together, Brad and Angelina also went on to divorce in 2019. Brad Pitt just purchased a $40 million Carmel castle, formerly known as the D.L. James House. D.L was a businessman who owned the land upon the cliff, and in 1916 he met architect Charles Greene. After years of sketches, Charles designed and built the castle in 1918. Over 100 years later the stone home is not only still standing, it still has that old world charm. After D.L James passed away, his son, D.L Jr. inherited the home. He was heavily involved in the local theatre, and became good friends with Charlie Chaplin. D.L. Jr. wrote numerous screenplays under the pen name Daniel Hyatt, and then later in life he published novels under the pen name Danny Santiago. In 1998 with both Jr. and his wife having passed, the home was purchased by financier Joe Richie. Richie kept the home until his death in 2022, which is when Brad Pitt snatched it up. And the rest is history as they say.
