Dustin Diamond was an American actor. He was born on January 7, 1977 in San Jose, CA. He is best known for his portrayal of the beloved ‘90s character Screech. He first appeared as Screech on the 1989 show Good Morning, Miss Bliss. After one season the show was canceled, and the spin off Saved by the Bell was created. He played the role of Screech for nearly 13 years, with the spin offs Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Saved by the Bell: The College Years. In 2009 Dustin wrote and published a book called Behind the Bell, where he detailed behind the scenes stories about the cast, from his point of view. The book painted a very negative view about his co-stars, most of which were disputed. As a result, Dustin claimed he didn’t actually write it but just gave interviews to the ghost writer. In August 2013, he appeared on the twelfth series of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. Sadly, in January 2021 Dustin was diagnosed with stage four small cell carcinoma of the lungs. Dustin Diamond's former home was sold in April 2023 for $530,999. It has been fully remodeled since Dustin's death, and features five bedrooms and five bathrooms spread out over 3,501 sq ft of space. The kitchen is an open concept kitchen fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. As well as crisp white cabinets. There is also a fully finished basement that has a bedroom and rec room. Among the renovations, there is now a large deck off of the back of the house, with a large landscaped backyard. Renovations also include fresh carpeting and custom tiling in the bathrooms. It’s a shame that Dustin passed away so young and tragically, I can only hope a new family is able to make happy memories in this beautiful home.

This house is so charming from the outside. A classic sidewalk leading right up to the front porch, and a large willow tree sits right in front. The back of the house showcases the driveway leading right up to the attached garage, as well as the large deck. There is also a sprawling landscape.

Despite the controversy with Dustin's book, Behind the Bell, Mario Lopez who famously played A.C Slater interviewed Dustin. In the interview Dustin showed remorse, apologized, and even had hopes to appear in the reboot. It's a shame that he passed away before he was able to, as there were rumors he was in talked to appear in season two.
During season two of the Saved by the Bell reboot, all of the original came back to shoot a touching tribute to the character of Screech.
Zack Morris himself, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, spoke out shortly after the news of Dustin's death shocked the world.
