Ryan then landed a regular role in the legal drama Boston Public from 2001 to 2004. She played a character in the science fiction series Dark Skies from 1997 to 2000, and appeared in Wes Craven's Dracula in 2000.
In 2007, Ryan married French chef Christophe Eme, with whom she has a daughter named Gisele. The couple owns a restaurant called Ortolan in Los Angeles, California. She is a supporter of several philanthropic organizations, including the Pediatric AIDS Foundation and National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
