Dr. Kiran Patel is a cardiologist and philanthropist. Born in Zambia in 1949, Patel received diplomas from both Cambridge University and the University of London, and went to medical school at Gujarat University. After medical school he did his internship in Africa, before moving to the United States in 1976. There he completed his residency in New Jersey, before completing a fellowship program at Columbia University in 1982. Later that year he moved to Tampa and opened up his own cardiologist practice. His practice expanded over the next decade, and in 1992 Patel became the chairman of the board of Well Care HMO, INC. In 2002 he sold the company for $200 million. Then in 2007 he bought the insurance holding company, America's 1st Choice Holdings of Florida, before selling in 2017 for an undisclosed amount. With an incredible net worth, Patel has also been very charitable. His foundation, The Patel Foundation, committed $225 million to Nova Southeastern University's colleges of osteopathic and allopathic medicine. As well as $30.5 million to the University of South Florida, and $171,500 to build two homes for Habitat for Humanity. He has also pledged a $7.5 million donation to Florida Hospital Carrollwood. With all his donations, Patel is still extremely wealthy, and just finished building his Florida compound. Check out Kiran Patel’s house below.

Kiran Patel's house is one of the country's largest single-family homes. It is in fact the largest in Hillsborough county, FL. In 2003 he purchased the 17 acre lot for $3.2 million. He then spent the next ten years building his compound, which consists of multiple smaller homes. The massive home was designed by Rojo Architecture, and built by Onicx Construction. Showcasing a mix of Italian and Indian details with a total of 63,310 sq ft. The home consists of 32,526 sq ft of air conditioned space, 15,376 sq ft of formal living area, a home theatre, and even a Hindu temple. As well as a 3,700 sq ft banquet hall. The compound also houses two small properties, both around 7,500 sq ft. There are also three guest houses. That's not all though, the enormous grounds also have a 450 long swimming pool with waterfalls, fountains, and also ponds. There is also a yoga practice space featuring a glass lotus blossom structure, and even a replica of the Taj Mahal carving in a rock mountain. There were even talks about adding a helipad, but as of now that hasn't happened. I know where I would want to be if the zombie apocalypse ever happened.

In this design you can see the plans for a double sided grand staircase, sitting underneath a hanging chandelier. Intricate design details painted on the marble flooring, as well as beautifully crafted iron railings.
The plans for the kitchen seem to showcase recessed lighting, as well as tiny, unique hanging light fixtures. The kitchen is open and adorned in dark woods and crisp white backsplash.
One of the bedrooms looks as if it's built for royalty. From the light hardwoods, to the custom design accent wall above the bed. A large window covered in rich curtains allows for natural light to flow during the day, and complete privacy at night.
What excessive mansion would be complete without its very own home theatre? Not this one. Adorned in muted gray tones, recessed lighting, and elevated soft cushions.
This is an incredible and opplent compound. It’s truly breathtaking. If you enjoyed checking out this property, check out Michael B Jordan’s house here.
