The show will see her working as an arbitrator for people hoping to settle their legal issues. Whether it's a horse with hoof disease or someone trying to sue their ex-wife, she knows how to get to the bottom of the case and settle it right away.
For those of you unfamiliar with the popular Hispanic show, it presents real cases that impact the Latino community in a similar manner to Judge Judy or the People's Court. Participants present their sides of the story, and the lawyer, played by Polo, works with specialized experts to determine the truth of each situation. From the ridiculous to the downright saucy, Polo has seen it all (including a woman being superglued to her own genitalia, so she couldn't urinate) and can cut through the bullshit faster than any other judge on daytime TV.
For her hard work on the show and dedication to the community, the mayor of Hialeah, Florida, a city bordering Miami with a large Cuban population, recently awarded Polo with her own street. The street will be named after the famous lawyer, and it was opened in front of the studio where she recorded her show for almost two decades.
