The recipe for a great reality show is pretty simple: attractive singles, drama, and a beautiful location. That’s why so many of us are drawn to shows like Ex on the Beach, Love Island, and Fboy Island – it’s difficult not to be captivated by the exotic vistas!
The sixth series of Ex on the Beach aired on 17 January 2017 and was filmed on location in Crete, Greece. It featured four single boys; Alex Leslie, Josh Ritchie, Ross Worsick and Sean Pratt, and four girls; Harriette Harper, Maisie Gillespie, Zahida Allen and ZaraLena Jackson. The cast was rounded out by former Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers and The Only Way Is Essex’s Nicole Bass as their exes.
This was the first time that Ex on the Beach had a celebrity line-up and was the second season to be filmed outside of Europe. The celebrity singles shacking up together in a terracotta-roofed villa are a who’s who of reality TV stars including finalists from American Idol, The Bachelorette, The Challenge, RuPaul’s Drag Race and Survivor.
Filming of the seventh series took place in a villa on the island of Gran Canaria, Spain, which is located in the Atlantic Ocean and is the second most populous and third largest of the Canary Islands. The couples and their exes set up camp in and around the beautiful villa for a series of intense challenges.
