Where is Ginny and Georgia Filmed?

If you're watching Ginny & Georgia, you probably love the show's quaint and idyllic setting of Wellsbury, Massachusetts. The town of quaint houses and green lawns feels like a dream come true, but you'll be sad to learn that it isn't a real place you can visit. Instead, most of the series was filmed in the small Canadian town of Cobourg.

Located around an hour's drive from Toronto, Cobourg has been the perfect backdrop for the small-town drama since it began filming in 2019. The local shops and historic buildings lent themselves to the show's set designers, while many of the town's streets were used as locations for scenes. For example, Cobourg's downtown King Street was home to many of the shops that appear in the show including the Blue Farm Cafe where Joe works and the Spanish restaurant El Camino. The city's Victoria Park also doubled as the location for Wellsbury's bandshell and the city hall where Georgia voted in the season finale.

As for the actual house that Ginny and Georgia live in, it is actually a beautiful private home located on Baby Point Crescent in Toronto. The interiors for the series, however, were filmed on the indoor sound stages at Toronto's TriBro Studios, which is also home to shows such as Killjoys and Shawn Mendes' Mercy video. Many of the exterior shots were filmed on-location in Cobourg, but a number of the interiors were built on the studio's sets.
