Filming is underway on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but fans have been wondering: where is it being filmed? Here are a few of the confirmed locations for the 2023 Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.
The first location to be confirmed for the movie was a Georgia man's garage, which Beth Mickle used for a key scene. The unnamed homeowner was lucky enough to find a production designer who would be willing to renovate his home for the film. The result was a garage that will appear as the home of Rocket Raccoon in the film.
One of the other locations that has been confirmed is Scotland. Director James Gunn shared a photo of himself outside of a Scottish castle in September, and it's likely that some of the scenes for the film were filmed there.
Other confirmed locations include Atlanta, where the majority of filming has taken place. That's where the film's principal cast, including Chris Pratt as Star-Lord/Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Michael Rooker as Kraglin Obfonteri will shoot. The film also stars Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord, Daniela Melchior as Ayesha, Maria Bakalova as Mantis, and Chukwudi Iwuji as the High Evolutionary.
As for the story, it will see the Guardians relocating to their new headquarters on Knowhere, where they're attacked by Adam, a genetically modified humanoid warrior created by their high priestess, Ayesha. The Guardians fight him but are unable to tend to Rocket's wounds because of a kill switch embedded in the spacedog. The team then travels to Orgocorp, where they learn the High Evolutionary is the ringmaster for the company, and find a way to disarm the device with help from the Sovereigns.
