Since its premiere in 2009, Larry’s Country Diner has integrated entertainment, interviews and music in a country diner setting. The show is a unique down-home variety program taped live before a studio audience. In addition to a rotating cast of regular characters, guests on the popular RFD-TV series have included legendary artists like Bill Anderson, Gene Watson, and Dailey and Vincent, as well as up-and-coming stars with a traditional country sound such as Mo Pitney, The Church Sisters, and the Malpass Brothers.
The series was created by long-time radio personality and songwriter, Larry Black, and is owned by Gabriel Communications. He and his team are known for their spontaneity and improvisation. Often, guest artists will sing multiple songs while telling stories and providing laughs. For example, a cowboy once told a story about losing his bible and having it retrieved by a chicken who then told him that his name was written inside of it.
