You might be surprised to learn that the Love is Blind cast members don’t just sit in pods and communicate with one another over a wall. Instead, they’re matched with a potential match from their own city. The first season was filmed in Atlanta, the second was in Chicago, and the third was based in Dallas.
Considering how much drama goes down in the show’s pods, it makes sense that the producers want to make sure that they’re bringing people from the same area. It’s not unlike The Bachelor, where constants are pulled from a nationwide pool.
In previous seasons, the men and women were matched from their respective cities — but in 2022, the show decided to change things up. According to Variety, the third season was filmed back-to-back with the second and was based in Dallas.
Then, for the season 3 “honeymoon” portion of the show, the couples headed to Calamigos Guest Ranch & Beach Club in Malibu, California. The resort looks like it’s straight out of a movie set, with huge treetop canopies and chandeliers that hang in the middle.
The couple then takes part in a wine-tasting trip around the Malibu region. This is the first time that the show has not gone to Mexico for this portion of the show — and it might have had something to do with the COVID-19 scare.
