The hit sci-fi series Manifest has had an eventful journey, as it was initially canceled by NBC and then picked up by Netflix, who recognized the show’s enormous popularity among fans. The fourth and final season of the series is finally coming, and it promises to provide a much-needed closure for passengers of Flight 828 who went missing for five years.
Unlike some TV shows that use stand-in locations for their scenes, most of the episodes of Manifest were actually filmed in New York state. According to Netflix Life, the main sequences were shot in NYC and other boroughs in New York, while various upstate areas also served as the backdrop for several crucial moments in the series.
While the show is set in New York City, the cast and crew have also been spotted filming at various places outside of the Big Apple. In particular, a number of the scenes in season 4 were filmed at the Republic Airport in Farmingdale. The airport is a small airfield that primarily provides private jet charter services.
In addition, many of the show’s scenes were filmed at the Queens neighborhood of Astoria and other areas in Long Island. For example, a Reddit user snapped a photo of the production team’s vehicles at Forest Park in Astoria.
