Have you ever stumbled upon a song while at the grocery store or at a party that you couldn’t quite identify before whipping out your phone and hitting the Shazam app? Well, it turns out that some of your favorite TV shows have used that same technology as well. We’re talking about Beat Shazam, a show that puts your musical knowledge to the test.
The show stars a team of experts who take on the challenge of trying to guess the name of an unfamiliar tune before they can shake their hands off its controls. They’re rewarded with points and prizes for every correct answer they give, which can range anywhere from a chance to be featured in the next episode to a trip to one of the most iconic music destinations in the world.
Where is shazam filmed
The DC comics film starring Zachary Levi and Asher Angel tells the story of teenage boy Billy Batson who can transform into an adult superhero simply by saying the magic word “Shazam!” Throughout the movie, he and his foster siblings must fight off the daughters of Hespera to save the world. Other cast members include Jack Dylan Grazer, Mark Strong, Jovan Armand, Rachel Zegler, Cooper Andrews and Djimon Hounsou.
In terms of locations, the majority of Shazam was filmed in Toronto, although some scenes were shot on location in Philadelphia. The production crew used a variety of locations to represent the city of Fawcett City including the famous steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, LOVE Park and Citizens Bank Park. They also used drone work at Columbus Playground and the Market Street bridge as well as "Light Detection and Ranging" (LiDAR) to incorporate Center City buildings into shots in post-production.
