The Adam Project, starring Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell, has just hit Netflix, and it’s already one of the streaming giant’s most popular movies. The story, which involves an older man who travels back in time to meet his younger self, is both funny and heartwarming. So if you’re looking for a new movie to watch, we recommend giving it a go!
But where was the movie filmed? We took to IMDB and found out that The Adam Project was primarily filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia. That’s no surprise, considering that star Ryan Reynolds is a native of the city. And director Shawn Levy – known for his work on Stranger Things, Night at the Museum, and Free Guy – fell in love with Vancouver’s lush forests.
The main filming locations used for the movie were young Adam’s house, his father’s lab, and several other places around the city. In fact, there are quite a few locations that filmgoers can visit themselves. For example, the scene where we see young Adam overhear his mother (Jennifer Garner) lamenting her recent struggles was filmed at Blarney Stone Pub on Carrall Street. And the scenes at Adam’s father Louis’s workplace were filmed on campus at University of British Columbia.
