'CMA Country Christmas' is one of the most anticipated annual holiday TV specials, and it features some of country music's biggest names singing classic holiday songs with a country twist. The special is aired by ABC each year, and it can be watched through traditional cable packages or with a live TV streaming service like FuboTV or Hulu with Live TV. During the two-hour show, artists sing both original and traditional Christmas songs. Previous performers have included Dierks Bentley, Colbie Caillat, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Scotty McCreery, and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland.
The 2022 CMA Country Christmas premieres on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 9PM ET on ABC, and it will also be available for next-day streaming on both Disney Plus and Hulu. This is the 13th year that CMA Country Christmas has been filmed, and this time around it's hosted by country music star Carly Pearce. The "What He Didn't Do" singer will be joined by other country music stars such as Old Dominion, Dan + Shay, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Molly Tuttle.
This year's show was filmed at the Steel Mill in Nashville, Tennessee. Fans who want to see the show in person can purchase tickets through CMA's website or at select Ticketmaster locations. The special is a part of ABC's annual line-up of live events, including the CMA Awards and the CMA Fest summer concert series. It is produced by the Country Music Association and directed by Paul Miller.
