Where Is The Ultimatum Queer Filmed?

October 19, 2023

As a spinoff of the hit reality dating show Love Is Blind, Netflix's 'The Ultimatum: Queer Love' is all about testing couples to see whether they can make it to the next level. The series centers around five queer couples who are either ready to tie the knot or not. While most of the series is filmed in California, specifically the San Diego Metropolitan area, you can also catch glimpses of various locations across the state.

In the past, we've seen couples being whisked away to a gorgeous resort for their time on the series. This is typical for many reality shows. However, unlike the seasons of Love Is Blind that featured couples from the same city (Kwame from Portland was one notable exception), this Queer Love cast includes members from all over the country.

Because of this, filming has to be done in multiple places so that each couple can live with different people during the process. This is why the cast will often be seen jet-setting to different locations throughout the show.

Besides the luxurious villas in which the couples stay on the show, they've been spotted at several restaurants and other local spots. One such spot is Yasai, which was used for a few key scenes in the show. This eatery is located at either 4646 Convoy Street #101-A or 2254 India Street in San Diego.

During production, the crew also frequented Barrel & Board and SHAKE & MUDDLE. Both of these spots are located at 1027 University Avenue in San Diego and 303 H Street UNIT 109 in Chula Vista, respectively. The production also filmed some crucial scenes at Beeside Balcony Restaurant at 1201 Camino Del Mar #200 in Del Mar, as well as the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego at 207 Fifth Avenue.
