The second season of Netflix’s reality show, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, just dropped and is proving to be even more dramatic than the first. It’s no surprise that people want to know where the couples from the show were filmed, and it turns out that they were primarily filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The couple-swapping series follows couples who struggle to make their relationships work. In each episode, pairs will pick a new partner from the other couples on the show to live with for three weeks. After their trial marriages, they’ll return to their original partners and decide what to do from there. The reality show’s premiere season was filmed in Austin, Texas, and its spinoff, Queer Love, was filmed in San Diego.
But where was this season’s filming location? The cast and crew have been spotted at various places in the city, including a cocktail bar called Billy Sunday located in Optimist Hall’s food court and a restaurant in the South End neighborhood that has since closed. Filming was reportedly started in September 2022 and wrapped in November of the same year, according to WBTV.
While the show was primarily filmed in Charlotte, the couples were also seen at a few other locations around the state. For instance, one of the couples, April and Jake, stayed at the luxury hotel, The Vue Charlotte. The apartments in the swanky complex boast upscale interiors and a range of amenities, which would be ideal for any of the show’s participants to relax in after a long day of taping.
