Some people might recognize Charlie Day from the FX sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where he plays the good-natured but morally dubious bar owner. Others might recall him from a blockbuster comedy like Horrible Bosses or Pacific Rim.

The American actor, writer, and producer has earned a lot in his career so far. His net worth is estimated to be $30 million. This is due to the many projects he has been involved with in his illustrious career so far.

Day started his career in acting by joining the Merrimack College theater company known as The Onstagers and he also performed in several stage productions before making his television debut in 2000 with the role of mailroom worker in the TV movie Mary and Rhonda. Then he appeared in numerous episodes of various television series such as Third Watch, Reno 911!, and Law & Order.

In 2006, he got married to his long-time girlfriend Mary Elizabeth Ellis, who co-starred with him on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and acted as his character Troy's depraved sister in Reno 911!. The couple has two children together.

Day's big-screen performances include roles in the films The Hollars, Vacation, and the upcoming Hotel Artemis. He also provided the voice of spacemen Benny in Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's brilliant 2014 film The Lego Movie and its sequel, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, which has collected over $660 million worldwide at the box office. He also starred in the comedy Fist Fight with Ice Cube and the action-adventure Pacific Rim as the bad guy Hank Kahn.
