Love Prison is a fascinating social experiment that puts real-life couples in long-distance relationships into an isolated shack for a week. The show explores the strength of virtual connections and if they can survive a week without any distractions. But where is this unique reality series filmed?
The main setting of the show is Kildare Island. The fictional barrier island is divided into two territories known as Figure 8 and the Cut. The wealthy Kooks live in the former, while the scrappy Pogues reside in the latter. At the center of the feud is John B, who finds himself in jail after murdering Sheriff Peterkin. The show's courtroom scenes are filmed at the Eternal Father of the Sea Chapel in North Charleston, while the detention center is a dive facility in Beaufort.
When the couples meet for the first time on the show, it's always a big moment. This is especially true for John B and Sarah, who have to deal with a big fight after their first meeting in Episode 9. Filming location: The home used as Carla Limbrey's house on the show is 27 King Street in Charleston.
The duo's search for the Denmark key leads them to an abandoned church where Big John used to hang out as a child. The spot is a popular fishing and hunting spot among locals, but it's also where they uncover some of the island's most secretive history. The church was filmed at Old Bethel AME Church in McClellanville, South Carolina.
