While TV chef celebrity personalities are a dime a dozen – most morning news shows have one, and the 24 hour food and cooking networks are overflowing with them – few have the depth of Moulton’s experience. She began her career as a protegee of Julia Child, hosted a number of Food Network shows, ran the executive kitchen at Gourmet magazine and continues to host a weekly series on public television that airs on 93 percent of the country’s stations.
Known for her warm teaching style, Sara’s Weeknight Meals features recipes and techniques that are easy to use for home cooks looking to put dinner on the table each night. She shares time-saving tips and tricks, along with delicious recipes like lentil country salad with apples and mustard sauce, apple cider braised pork shoulder and crawfish etouffée. The show is filmed at the home of producer Natalie Gustafson, not Moulton’s, but it’s a place where her friends and family can join her to cook up a meal together.
Moulton has authored four cookbooks, including 2010’s “Everyday Family Dinners” and 2016’s “Home Cooking 101,” which she calls more of a textbook than a standard cookbook. She also writes a weekly column called KitchenWise for the Associated Press that is syndicated in newspapers across America.
She is married to Bill Adler and has two children – a daughter named Ruth and a son called Sam. She is quite active on social media and regularly posts photos of her meals, as well as pictures with her friends and family.
