Where is The Blacklist Filmed?

November 3, 2023

After ten seasons, the hit NBC crime drama The Blacklist is set to come to an end this week. The series finale airs July 13 at 8 p.m. ET, and you can catch up with the last episodes via Peacock Premium and on Netflix. Whether you’re tuning in to see the fate of Red Reddington or whether Elizabeth Keen and Tom Keen get back together, there are plenty of twists to watch for.

The show, created by Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath, stars James Spader as ex-Navy Intelligence officer Raymond Reddington, who turns one of the FBI’s Most Wanted fugitives into a collaborator to help track down dangerous criminals. Reddington gives the FBI a list of mobsters, spies and terrorists he’s been after for decades, which is called The Blacklist. He works with rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (played by Ryan Eggold).

Despite the fact that much of the show is filmed in Washington, DC, a lot of the action takes place in NYC. The cast and crew frequently film in local New York City locations, including the Meatpacking District’s trendy restaurants and recognizable Whitney Museum under construction as Belarus. The show also filmed in Cobble Hill Park, Fort Wadsworth, Green-Wood Cemetery, Honeywell Street in Queens, Madison Square Park, Long Beach, Nyack, Pearl River, Pier 25, Pleasantville, Tarrytown Music Hall and the Yonkers Metro North Station.

The latest episode, titled “Caelum Bank,” featured scenes shot at Chelsea Piers in the South Bronx. This waterfront complex is now a golf, shopping and entertainment destination but was a ship terminal in the early 1900s.
