Check Out The Alex Murdaugh House

December 8, 2023

Alex Murdaugh is a former lawyer from South Carolina who has recently gained national attention for a series of scandals surrounding his family. In June 2021, he was shot in the head while changing a tire on the side of the road, which he initially claimed was a random act of violence. However, investigations revealed that he had allegedly conspired with a former client to have himself killed in order to collect a $10 million life insurance policy for his surviving son. This revelation led to further investigations into other alleged crimes and scandals involving Murdaugh, including embezzlement of funds from his law firm and the unsolved murders of his wife and son. In February 2023, Netflix released a docu-series detailing these events called “Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal”. In March 2023, Murdaugh was found guilty on four counts after less than three hours of jury deliberation. He was convicted of murdering his wife, son, and two counts of possession of a weapon during a crime. He was sentenced to life in prison, although he still claims to be innocent. It’s a haunting story that we may not ever know the full truth of. Much like high profile murder documentaries, there are many different theories and conspiracies.

From the side of the house you really get a nice view of the whole thing. You are able to still see the front porch, as well as the back of the house. There are many mature, tall trees, but it doesn't block the view. The back door features steps made up brick, with a double white railing on each side, to match the front steps.

This aerial shot gives a better idea of just how much land there is. You can see the extremely long road leading right up to the front of the main home. With overgrown trees lining each side of the road. The home is surrounded by dense forest, perfect for hunting and fishing.

The Murdaugh property holds a 1,140 sq ft guest cottage, nearby the main house. Much like the rest of the home, it sits surrounded by lush forest, and massive acreage.
