Take A Look Inside Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe was a Hollywood icon. She was born Norma Jeane Mortenson, on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles. She had a difficult childhood, with a single mother who suffered from mental illness, and a father she never knew. During the 1950’s she became one of the most famous actresses, with movies such as "Some Like It Hot," "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," and "The Seven Year Itch.” Despite extreme success, she suffered in her personal life. She struggled with mental health issues, as well as several failed relationships, most famously to Joe DiMaggio. Despite their divorce, the two remained friends for the remainder of her life. In fact, after her tragic death in 1962 DiMaggio spent the next 20 years sending flowers to her grave twice a week. Take a look at Marilyn Monroe’s house below.

This Spanish style hacienda home was the last residence of Marilyn Monroe. She purchased the home in 1962 for $77,500, half of which was paid in cash. Just six months after buying her home, she was sadly found dead in her bedroom, from a supposed drug overdose. It was most recently sold in August 2023, for $8.3 million. Originally built in 1929, the home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, and sits behind tall gates. It also features a beautiful brick patio surrounding the oval shaped swimming pool in the backyard, and a citrus orchard. The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms spread out over 2,624 sq ft of space. Inside the home there are beamed ceilings and terra cotta tile floors. As well as casement windows and a lovely fireplace.

This video also gives an inside look at Marilyn's home. With the wooden breakfast table and gold star hanging centerpiece hanging directly over it. The kitchen features blue custom tile backsplash, with wooden cabinets and brass cookware hanging overhead.

In the pictures posted to this Instagram account, you can see up close and personal photos of the sparkling pool, beautiful gardens, and the interior of the home. With the wooden ceiling beams, the terracotta tiles, and the cozy fireplace.

Beautiful candlestick chandeliers, pointed arched hallways, and an excess of natural light flows beautifully in the home, as seen in this video.

Marilyn passed away in 1962 from an overdose. The many decades since her passing up until today, there has been conspiracy theories and speculations on how exactly she died. Was it suicide? An accidental overdose? Or perhaps, murdered? By the CIA? By the Kennedies? No matter the theories, this beautiful and talented woman had such a tragic passing, that still haunts Hollywood to this day.
