Testosterone also contributes to language skills. It helps to shape neural networks that are associated with language development and comprehension. Research suggests that males, with their higher testosterone levels, may show different patterns of language processing compared to females.

Serotonin and Oxytocin

Serotonin and oxytocin, two neurotransmitters with multifaceted roles in the brain, exert significant influence over executive functions. These functions encompass a range of cognitive processes responsible for decision-making, emotional regulation, and social interaction.

Oxytocin and Social Function

Oxytocin, A.K.A. the "bonding hormone," broadly affects our social interactions. Oxytocin promotes trust, empathy, and other emotions associated with social bonding. Studies have shown that intranasal oxytocin administration can foster more cooperative social behavior.
